According to research by CSIRO & the Australian centre for disease preparedness;
Professor Trevor Drew highlights;
“The corona Virus that causes Covid 19 can live up to 28 days on surfaces such as mobile phone screens & ATMs
The virus hung around intact on most surfaces for about 6 to 7 days before starting to lose its potency
Even after two weeks there was still plenty of live, infectious virus there which could potentially infect someone.
And on some surfaces such as glass and paper bank notes the virus was still there after one month.
With effective cleaning you can remove the virus.”
This is one very persistent, infectious and nasty little virus and only way to beat it’s through vigilance
So keep cleaning disinfecting touch points effectively, keep washing your hands, keep wearing masks& keep your distance.
